No more the silence! No more the fear of being alone! We will hear your voice!

In a country where animal abuse is usual and anyone who complains is rejected or dismissed...

In a land where the animal protection laws are derided and ignored...

In a world where abuse of animals has been shown to be predictive of that same person possibly abusing people and property...

We understand your fears and WE WILL LISTEN!

New laws invite slaughter. In shelters. In streets. In communities... before children's eyes! Unaddressed killing in front of children identifies a society out of control... Animal abuse was already endemic in Romania but individuals encouraged by the government's edict to 'eradicate' homeless animals has led to increases in abuse. Shelters are catching and killing dogs with impunity.

The Laws 155/2001 modified to 258/2013 - the Romanian 'Slaughter Law' - is being ignored with one exception: the licence to kill after 14 days. The Law 9/2008, also known as 'Law Marinescu', which caters for animal ownership and individuals abusing animals, is being ignored and resisted by law enforcement bodies. The Methodological Norms are again ignored except for the killing licence.

Currently ALL articles of the animal protection laws are being ignored except the licence to kill in shelters after 14 days. ALL other elements are being ignored!

The status of homeless animals has been diminished to less than vermin. Sentient beings... creatures which in any other society would be regarded as members of a family. How low has descended the regard for feeling, thinking and dependent creatures?

But in Romania there are those who care. They care about the animals. They fear for a land where laws are ignored and corruption permeates authorities. They want change. They live in a polarized society but knowing that their voices have never before been heard... by police... by politicians... by anybody.

And we will listen...

Anyone who wishes to report animal abuse and can provide the essential criteria of strong evidence and a witness willing to testify, our network of lawyers will listen, and if it is believed that a strong case can be realized, we will support the possibility of a prosecution.

We understand the previous indifference of the police in addressing abuse reports. This will change. All cases where process of law is inhibited by the authorities will be subjects of reports which will be reflected to the EU (European Union) and to the OIE (World Organisation for Animal Health) and serve to highlight the extent of Romania's de facto nil-compliance with ratified international directives and agreements by presenting the outside world with cosmetic, ill enforced laws. Romania's laws are accepted by authorities as being compliant with various international agreements and directives which Romania has ratified. Flagrant breach of these agreements through zero enactment of the laws is deemed NOT consistent with such agreements. Helpline reports will evidence this deficiency. So any report to any police force now has an international spotlight. Police will be informed of this.

But we need you. We need your voice. We need to hear of such abuse. Our promise is that WE WILL LISTEN!

We will listen!
